Xavi got Barcelona off the mark in just 10 minutes with a beautiful little flick catching the Spanish Goalkeeper, Iker Casillas by surprise.
The second goal came from a lovely weighted cross by Barcelona’s summer wonder signing, David Villa, leaving Pedro with a mere tap-in to put Barcelona 2-0 up.
The El Clasico has simply lived up to its expectations with numerous yellow cards already been distributed, one given to Ricardo Carvalho for an elbow to Lionel Messi’s face! Is that the only way to stop the Argentinian 2008 Ballon d’Or winner.
The second half is shortly approaching and is looking to be an exciting 45 minutes of football. Mourinho will have to have serious words with his Real Madrid side if they want to come away with a point at the very least.
